The Atrium is located at 7 Raffles Boulevard, Pan Pacific Hotel level 1, Singapore 039595 and the number to dial is 6336 8111.
These are shots taken at least two years ago at the old Atrium at Pan Pac. The first picture depicts a comfortable chillax lounge with cosy couch-seats and tables; larger groups could choose the larger booths.
The menu was a lovely shade of blue, and they served bowls of nuts and chips to guests. *Charmaine had a nice cup of frothy coffee and I enjoyed two glasses of their Saketini - cocktails made with Japanese wine sake (pronounced "sar-kay"). The Saketinis were really lovely - the peach one came with tiny cubes of peaches at the bottom of the glass; and the triberry one came with tiny berries at the bottom of the glass.
Recently I revisited the newly-renovated Atrium again, and was pleasantly surprised to note that the interior now looks classy, modernistic and very lovely. The waitresses still donned elegant cheongsam (long, body-hugging Oriental dresses) and the service was still impeccable. The floors were polished sleekly, and the bar counter was lit in lovely shades. Instead of a liveband though, they had a female DJ spinning lounge music.
Best of all, I love how there is now a man-made indoor canal / moat where our booths look like giant cups sitting afloat this canal / moat. What a romantic and creative concept.
We had drinks all right, a Singapore Sling and my Mangostini that cocktail that actually came with half a mangosteen. The Mangostini was a lovely blend of fruit juices and alcohol, hence the sweet-sourish combination. Paired with my favorite fruit, this delightful drink was both a treat and an eye candy.
I like the ambience so much better now - so do pop by for a drink or two if you are in the vicinity. Despite it being a Saturday night, the place was relatively empty, so you should definitely be able to snag a good seat.
A drink could cost anywhere between $18 - $25 (I am not talking about bottles, of course :) )
