Dinner at Georges at the Cove @ Pasir Ris Park

133 Pasir Ris Road, Pasir Ris Park, Singapore 519149

We were searching for seaside dining, and a simple meal near our place of residence. Used to visit 5 Drunken Rabbits, but it has been closed.

Came across Georges at the Cove, and have  been back another couple of times since then. Lovely Balinese beach bar concept with good ambience right by the seaside, where breezes kissed our cheeks, and we watched sunsets over the horizon.

Georges have quite a few outlets in Singapore- such as Pasir Ris, Punggol (by the bay), East Coast Park, Seletar, Changi Airport, Siglap and Nanyang Crescent. Like the proper beach bar that it was, good music was blasting in the background for us to Bob our heads to.

We were there for a simple dinner starting with Luncheon Chips (SGD$10.90), served with BBQ sauce and a refreshing pairing of raw fresh onions.

Also had a glass of Red Wine and mains of Spanish Pork Chop (SGD$18.90) - 200grams of tender grilled pork fillet served with mashed potato.

On an earlier occasion, we came here for a casual Valentine's dinner, where they had a special set menu. It comprised of a Vegetable Soup with crispy slices of Garlic Bread.

For mains, he chose the tender Chicken Leg with Parmesan cheese and fresh vegetables.

I had the Grilled Salmon with pesto sauce and potato salad. Tasty!

Finally, Strawberry Fondant Cake with vanilla ice-cream and fresh strawberries for dessert.

Overall, happy dining experience here- happy crowd, tasty food and good music. Service could be more consistent though - when I visited in February 2019, service was efficient, excellent and friendly. In December the same year, staff were curt, cool and standing around instead of dining over to check on patrons.
