Eyelash Extensions, Tummy Slimming Massage & Manicure @ Ease Beauty Spa

131 Jurong East St. 13, #01-251 Singapore 600131
Tel: 6255 5781

Ease Beauty Spa is a one-stop ladies' only beauty spa, conveniently located at Jurong East within the banking district. The founders are 2 young and beautiful Singaporean ladies with many years of experience in the beauty sector. Ease Beauty Spa provides many services including facials, massage, manicure, pedicure, eyelash extensions, eyebrow embroidery etc - basically most of the beauty treatments that we females enjoy so much.

I tried out several services at their parlour, since it is a one-stop service. The first was the Tummy Slimming Massage (SGD$68.00), an intensive massage targeted at the reducing tummy fats by way of methodical series of kneading, etc. Pure Ginger Oil is rubbed on the abdomen area before the massage commenced, evoking a lovely warmth that makes me confident that my fats were being burned up surely. I also would like to comment that I was surprised at the vast spaciousness of their Treatment Room.

Next service I tried was the Eye Lash Extensions (SGD$60.00 onwards). I have seen many friends doing eye lash extensions, and the elongated lashes looked so beautiful. But I have also witnessed some of them in pain during their extension treatment sometime ago (elsewhere), so I have never thought of trying it until now. Zeris is a good persuader. :)

The Eye Lash Extension session took around 1.5 hours, a meticulous lash-by-lash attachment that emitted zero discomfort at all. I must have fallen asleep during the session itself, because when I was woken up, I noticed long, fluttery lashes that did not feel heavy at all; in fact, they did not feel any different. Yet whenever I look into the mirrors I could not help smiling because these beautiful lashes made my eyes look larger, and I saved so much time now that I do not see the need to use eyeliners and eye-shadow.

Finally, I also did Gel Manicure and Gel Pedicure with them. They use really comfortable massage chairs here so we could enjoy a lovely back massage while getting our nails treated. For my toenails, I chose a simple silver color.

For my fingernails, I tried the currently trendy Cat's Eyes Gel Manicure, where the colors look dark like reflections from different angles. The special design (and claimed to be the only nail salon offering this design) is the floral design that looked really good and feminine.

Updates: went back for another round of Gel Manicure in these pretty princessy hues.

Overall, I enjoyed the beauty treatments here and the warm hospitality of Zeris and crew. I will be back to do an 6D Eyebrows aka "Misty" under Ease Beauty Spa again soon.

Review on Manicure and Pedicure at Expert Beaute @ Westgate

3 Gateway Drive #03-22 Westgate, Singapore 608532
Tel: 6710 5866

Being a Westie these days means that I frequent the malls in the West-side more often these days, simply for convenience of proximity. I kept passing by this pretty little manicure shop, Expert Beaute, located right next to the escalator of Westgate level 3. Since my nails needed some work done badly, I made an appointment and visited them for Gel Manicure and Classic Pedicure.

The cheerful and pretty exterior is a reflection of its vibrant interior, also decorated neatly. Besides nail services, they also provide a full range of beauty services such as for eyebrows and facials etc. Besides the beauty therapists, they actually have a couple of customer service hosts wearing jackets, to attend to the customers. Swanky!

For my Classic Pedicure, I selected a shade of dark red, and then the nail cutting, shaping, buffing, salt soak and even a foot massage, before my pedicurist applied colours to my toenails.

For my Gel Manicure, there was also the standard nail cutting, shaping, and cuticle clearance before my manicurist applied a deep wine shade to the nails.

Overall I quite enjoyed the settings and range of services; I just thought that the pedicurist used a little too much force during the cutting and buffing process, which caused a little discomfort; and she wasn't more careful with my wounded bitten-finger even though I showed her the wound.

Review on Gel Manicure at Yoga Beauty Palace @ Bugis Cube [Sponsored]

470 North Bridge Road #02-06A Bugis Cube, Singapore 188735
Tel: 6258 4119 / 8826 2789

Located at the corner of level 2, Bugis Cube, is a nail haven set in Victorian-styled decor, providing an array of beauty services by a young, beautiful and talented Ms. Yoga Zhang. Look for Yoga Beauty Palace, a newly set-up beauty parlour offering manicure / pedicure, facial, eyebrows, eyelash and makeup services at reasonable prices.

The young talented Ms Yoga Zhang, who is also a model, yoga instructor ,
certified beauty therapist and makeup artist.

Yoga Beauty Palace combines Western, Japanese, Chinese and Korean techniques and products so that customers can get to enjoy the full range of services under one roof. For instance, the use of quality Cici Nana gel nail polish (in lieu of the "OPI" range used by most salons here) from Japan, which gives us a beautiful range of colours. Customers can also enjoy popular Korean treatments such as Derma Skin Boosters (水光针) or Micro Bubble Facial Cleansing Machine here.

The owner Yoga Zhang believes strongly in good products and services - besides her many certificates, she would only buy equipments and products that she would trust, that she herself would use - and know that would truly benefit her customers.

When I reached the beauty parlour, I was taken in by the European-themed decor and tranquil vibe generated by the leaves-lined ceiling, an eclectic mix of outdoorsy / nature into the design of the place. Two beauty treatment rooms are used for facials and eyebrows / eyelash services, whereas 2 comfortable leather sofa-styled chairs line the front of the parlour, for us to enjoy our manicure and pedicure treatments in.

The manicure chairs are actually massage chairs as well, enabling customers to enjoy back-rubs while getting our nails done. The chairs also come with matching boards and foot-stools, so that we could lie down and rest our wrists comfortably on the boards during the nail pampering sessions (most places expect us to place our hands onto cushions). Plus plus point - after I selected the nail color I wanted, Vinci (who works for Yoga) painted one of my nails to let me see how the actual hue looked, and only when I liked it, did she proceed to do the Classic Gel Manicure for me.

This is how my nails look like, after Vinci's meticulous trimming, buffing, shaping, painting and top-coating my nails. Love the unique Chinese plum-red shade and how smooth my hands felt after the treatment.  Thank you Yoga Beauty Palace for the lovely nails and manicure session!

This shop does not condone hard-selling; most of their regular customers return on their own accord. However, they do have a Membership system here, where you can set aside a sum of money ("credits"), to be deducted accordingly after every visit. Being a member entitles you to enjoy special rates off their many services. Do drop by today to try their services out yourselves - quote "Elle10" to enjoy 10% off from now till 1 May 2018.

Review on N20 Nail Spa @ Westgate Jurong

3 Gateway Drive, #B1-07 Westgate Mall, Singapore 608532
Tel: 6250 7163

With the approach of the upcoming Lunar New Year and an urgent need to pamper my nails, I decided to visit N20 Nail Spa located at Westgate, Jurong East.  They also have an outlet located at Vivocity, just FYI.

It was a cosy nail parlour and packed with patrons, probably because everyone wants to look pretty for the festivities. I have to mention that I came with zero expectations, just a desire to get colors on my fingernails and toenails.

Two of the crew attended to me, one handled my hands while the other took care of my feet. The usual process of cutting, buffing and feet soak ensued, while someone served me Hot Tea with Chocolate.

I looked through the extensive selection of colors available, and had a hard time deciding. Blue or red tones or silver? Glittery, satin or matte? Finally I decided on a glittery dark blue shade.

My manicurist appeared new; but she was gentle and thorough. After trimming my nails and painting them a lovely shade of blue, there was an arm massage and shoulder / back massage for me.

My pedicurist was a lady with 9 years of experience, and was very knowledgeable about nails and nail-health. Knowing that I had some cracked skin and other self-inflicted foot skin injuries, she was super meticulous with me and expertly did the necessary steps without causing my feet any pain. After the salts soak, buffing, trimming and coloring, the final step was a leg massage.

Overall I was very pleased with the service here at N20 Nail Spa and they exceed my expectations by a far lot. Now I can look forward to Valentine's Day and Lunar New Year with pretty nails.

Review on Gel Manicure + Pedicure at Picota Nails Spa @ Ion Orchard

2 Orchard Turn #04-03 Ion Orchard, Singapore 238801
Tel: 6634 0478
Website: None supplied
Facebook: None

Festive season has arrived so my bare nails yearned to be adorned. Shopping around, I discovered Picota Nails at Ion Orchard, and decided to give them a try. I later found out that they are under the same group that houses Pixie Nail Spa and Qoosh Nails Spa.

The layout of the nail salon was long and spacious, done in bright but neutral tones to bring about a light-hearted feel, especially when glimpsing the pink sakura flowers painted on white walls above.

The manicurists wore pretty kimonos in dark blue and pink colors; and were generally polite. Ironically, the manager Angela had lousy attitude and service.

Anyway, I was seated and informed my manicurist that I would like to do a Gel Manicure and Gel Pedicure, both classic. She let me choose my desired colors while my feet were soaked in some bath salts to soften it.

Torn between many colors, I decided to go easy on myself and chose the same maroon glitter color for both hands and feet.

Through careful cutting, filing, buffing and application, over easy chatter, my manicurist completed beautifying my fingernails and toenails, smoothing the skin and making them glitter prettily for the upcoming Christmas.

Review of ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon @ Far East Plaza [Sponsored]

14 Scotts Road #02-104A Far East Plaza, Singapore 228213
Tel:  9730 8350

Just in case you cannot locate it - its right next to Jewellery Point, level 2 of FEP

I was honoured to be invited by ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon for a sponsored nails session. This is a 2-months' young nail parlour that just opened its doors at Far East Plaza, taking over the previous Amy's Nails but creating a brand new outlook.

ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon provides a wide range of nails services including various types of manicure, pedicure, extension, nail art, nail spa etc - at very, very competitive prices that do not compromise quality though. If you sign on their packages, the pricing is even more attractive, of course.

What sets ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon apart from the rest of the nail salons / parlours out there, especially when Far East Plaza is well-known for housing many, many others? Well, there's plenty, much to my surprise.

Firstly, ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon is part of an advanced technology / advertisement group named ConnectiGlobe.  Meaning to say, this salon is founded by 2 gentlemen who understand that beauty is very important to women (and men) out there as well.     Did I say technology? Yes - that also explains why one gets to see and experience various interesting items here in this salon that surpasses technology that many salons do not have yet.

One example would be the miniature bluelight dryer (in photo above) meant for drying one finger at a time, very small and compact but works wonder.

Secondly, these sweet pink chairs are no ordinary manicure seats! They are Massage Chairs - so lean back and enjoy a good muscle knead on the house while getting your cuticles trimmed, and your mani / pedicures done. This was a very comfortable, luxury experience, getting the best of both worlds.

ArtPro Nailgraphic NailArt Printer

Finally, they have the Artpro Nailgraphic NailArt Printer, which makes it so much more easier to get nail art painted on your nails now. Imagine you no longer have to book your manicure 3 weeks in advance just so they could assign you a manicurist skilled in nail art, you  no longer have to sit there for 2 hours waiting for the nailart to be done painstakingly, and lastly, you can print nearly every image you want to see on your nails.

Besides the wide range of selection available, you may also search for your own image and save it onto the machine for printing onto your nails. Is that not awesome?!  After selecting the image, the manicurist would paint a special printing coat over your nails, and protection sleeves would be attached around the finger.

Slot the finger into the printing machine, click on the "Print" button on the touchscreen monitor above, and you are all set to go! The printing process took less than 5 minutes, and every fine intricate detail is brillantly captured.

I got my rose painted on the forefinger, and the manicurist herself was spotting these adorable nails - printed straight from the machine itself!

Exciting,  isn't it?

So, now is back to my pedicure experience here.   So there was the usual buffing, trimming and filing etc done on my feet - painful feet made so through constant wearing of heels and covered shoes in the course of work.

Service was impeccable as manicurist was affable and knowledgeable enough to address some questions I had, on care-taking of nails.

Finally, the entire process of soaking off my original gel polish, buffing, filing and trimming was over. I selected a silver-gray shade (gel) and it was being painted on expertly.  Pardon the slightly reddish toes because it has just went through a lovely nail spa session hence a little scrub was in order.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon very much - with the soothing sweet pink shades, massage chairs, excellent service and very pocket-friendly pricing.  Curious? In need of a nail retreat? Drop by today to awe yourself as well.

Thank you ConnectiGlobe Nail Salon for the invite, and good efforts!
