Review on Aqua Filler Facial @ Bionn International

190 Clemenceau Avenue #04-20 Singapore Shopping Centre, Singapore 239924
Tel:  6100 0661 / 6338 8096
Website: http://bionn.biz

Bionn International was my go-to place for my facial issues, the very first facial treatment centre I signed up for. Due to personal reasons, I have stopped visiting them but was surprised to receive their call to return now, after a decade.

Founded in 2003, Bionn International uses a suite of facial services and house-brand products to provide solutions for customers' skin issues. This award-winning beauty centre has upgraded its services to medi-aestbetics level now, having their own doctors and are able to provide even fillers and boosters, etc.

They have 3 outlets now, at Singapore Shopping Centre, Peck Seah Street and One KM Mall - I returned to the SSC branch. Still donning its corporate colors of blue and white, the outlet seemed to have undergone a facelift, looking even more comfortable and professional now.  The centre manager, consultant and therapists seem to be more well-spoken and customer-oriented now (in the past they were very huge on hard-selling and up-selling).

I changed into the gown and the therapist removed my makeup before doing cleansing. Then a machine was uses remove dead skin cells using some kind of suction tube.

Following that, extraction and eye brow shaping. Next, another device was used to kill bacteria using some infrared light - made a buzzing sound and had a strong door but gentle on the skin.

Moving on, facial massage which felt very good and lifting. Then a generous layer of Hydraulic Acid was spread over my face. Another equipment was brought into the room, attached with a black nozzle that produced suction to open up the pores for better absorption and deeper penetration of the hydraulic acid. There was water being sprayed with each contact on the skin as well, extremely quenching sensation.

Both photos above no-filter, and no makeup. Look at how
clear and moisturised my skin fared, after the treatment.

Finally, the application of a cooling Stem Cell mask over my face as well as Protein Eye Treatment Mask while I tested for 20-30 minutes. Brand finale was toner and moisturizer, followed by a consultation.

My skin felt moisturizer and brighter, utterly soothed. The Aqua Filler Facial costs SGD$280.00 a session and is undeniably beneficial for my skin; I should come back more often.

Thank you Bionn International for taking care of, and pampering my face!

Review on Kose Sekkisei Herbal Gel

I have always loved Kose's Sekkisei herbal series of skincare, and would like to share with you the benefits and beauty of their Herbal Gel.

The simple yet elegant design of the tub - deep royal blue bottom, and a thick silver lid, gives it a very trustworthy yet beautiful appearance - as though it is telling you that "I mean business", as a facial cream.  Retailing at SGD$56.00 for an 80 grams tub, I would find the price to be very reasonable because it is an emulsion, a serum cream, a massage pack and sleeping mask all in one. In other words, one product is sufficient to fulfill all your skincare regime - and this can be used for daytime and nighttime.

Ingredients-wise, the Sekkisei Herbal Gel contains (among other ingredients) compounded oriental herbs such as coix seed, angelica, loquat extract, melothria heterophylla and mugwort. The texture of the gel is light, cool and easily-absorbed; it carries a gently herbal scent that I find very soothing and therapeutic.

That's me in Vancouver at -4 degree celsius, with supple skin thanks to the herbal gel.

If used during the daytime, a thin layer is enough to keep skin hydrated and supple throughout the day, even in air-conditioned environment or wintry weather (yes, I relied on this heavily during my Vancouver vacation in December).

If used at night as a sleeping mask, a thicker layer is to be applied. The skin feels soft, moistened and beautiful in the morning. I personally dub this my miracle gel, as I can also use it after my laser skin treatments, since it calms and soothes my skin.

Have you found your dream product yet? I think that with Kose's Sekkisei Herbal Gel, I have!

ClearSK 10th Anniversary Celebration Party @ Ion Sky Level 55

2 Orchard Turn, Level 56, Ion Orchard, Singapore 238801
Tel: 6100 1221
Website: http://www.clearskgroup.com

ClearSK celebrated its 10th anniversary over the weekend, celebrated its many milestones and I was honoured to be one of the attendees.

To share a little on them, ClearSK Aesthetics is founded by Dr. Shiau Ee Leng and it's first humbling beginning was a cosy outlet located at Toa Payoh. That was year 2008, but the beauty parlour put up a tough fight against recession, and today it boosts of multiple outlets in Singapore and overseas. Now they also provide more services, targeting skin, slimming and hair. Congratulations Dr. Shiau and team!

Various stations were set up around the area where one could get their Skin Analysis done, or enjoy trial Lifting treatments, or check out the SkinCeuticals products on sale. Their beauty therapists were there to give advice on treatments available to suit each individual's unique needs.

Brand ambassadors include the gorgeous artiste Jeanette Aw and violinist Yap Shu Mei. The latter also treated us to a fabulous performance of her talent.

Besides reviews of facial treatments by the ambassadors and a panel discussion between the 3 power women, the celebration commenced with cake-cutting and champagne toasts.

Buffet dinner of Thai cuisine (about 10 dishes at least) and Rosa Wine (or Champagne, if you prefer), as well as slices of cake were served.

I was y to you psyched to take a couple of pictures with Jeanette right here against the darkening skyline. Happy birthday in advance babe!

Oh and did I mention the gorgeous Goody-bag duffel-style, containing facial treatment vouchers, products vouchers and of course, SkinCeuticals samples? I can't wait to try everything in there.

Lucky draw with attractive prizes concluded the 4-hour event. All in all, it was an enriching, fun-filled and beautiful event where I made new friends too. Congratulations again ClearSK Aesthetics - may you have many more years and breakthroughs to come!

Review on Customised Facial at Astalift Singapore @ Wisma Atria

435 Orchard Road #03-30 Wisma Atria, Singapore 238877
Tel: 6238 6386

I signed up for a session of Astalift Customised Facial during the Astalift Event, so I redeemed it excitedly today - the day before I was set to fly off to Hong Kong. It was a 70 minutes facial, using Astalift products, of course. I had the choice of Wisma Atria outlet or Nex outlet, and picked Wisma.

The outlet was small - at the front of the house was Astalift storefront. If I hadn't ventured to the back, I probably wouldn't even know there was a neat treatment room hidden there. My consultant, who also turned out to be the therapist - did a brief health + lifestyle survey for me and had me fill out the necessary forms.

Then I changed into a sweet pink robe at the treatment room area. My therapist executed the cleansing and makeup removal gently. Not sure if its due to hygiene reason or something else, but I realise that alot of applications were done using cotton pads instead of fingers directly.

She used the Astalift Renewal skincare range for my facial treatment. There were some lotions before a hydrating Mask was spread over my face.

Instead of merely leaving it to work its magic like how the other facial spas do, my therapist powered up a machine to go over my masked face, and she explained that this would help lock the moisture in.

After that,  a series of facial massage -  a detailed range of movements targeting multiple areas of the face, neck and shoulder. I liked the massage very much as it felt really rejuvenating.

The concluding skincare regime began with the Astalift Jelly Aquarysta (review here) being dabbed expertly onto my face. Then toner, essence, eye cream and moisturiser followed.

After applying sunblock and a scalp massage, the facial session was finished. The end result was a glowing complexion that felt very refreshed and moisturised.

I enjoyed the facial massage and Astalift products very much. I also appreciated that the therapist was speaking English at all times- professionally and easily understandable! Thank you Astalift Singapore for the wonderful experience - probably the best facial before I turn a year older.

Review on Kose Infinity Pure Advance Serum III

Kose Infinity Pure Advance Serum III is not your typical serum - it is a hydrating cream type emulsion that is to be applied gently onto the face, giving you all the benefits you need to counter skin-ageing.  Let's take a look at what lies behind the beautiful, feminine pink facade.

This product helps to adjust sebum and clears dirt in pores, tightening up the pore and gives skin resilience, translucence as well as firmness, leading to an elastic, ageless appearance. Some active ingredients include Botanical Essence G, Rose extract, Alpinia species left extract, Glycerin and Rosemary Leaf Water.

Priced at SGD$69.00 for 50g a tub, the Kose Infinity Pure Advance Serum III feels rich but cooling on the skin, and is to be used before application of moisturiser, twice a day.

I like how it makes my skin feel moisturised throughout the day without being oily, and yes,  my pores appear less visible as well. My moisturiser and makeup go on better after the application of this miracle serum cream as well.

This, and the Herbal Gel, have definitely converted me to a Kose fan now.

Astalift x Sample Store - Regain Your Youth Beauty Workshop

Event: Astalift x Sample Store "Regain Your Youth" Beauty Workshop
Date: 8 February 2018
Time: 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Venue: Wisma Atria Level 1 Atrium

Having tried and quite liked Astalift's Aqua Jelly using special film technology (review here), I was honoured to be invited for the Astalift Beauty Workshop this evening.

Just a brief introduction to Astalift - it is a beauty brand owned by Japan's company Fujifilm. In Japan they have a medical arm working on using technology to improve and restore beautiful skin, so you can imagine their products are made with cutting edge technology and quality ingredients.

So the workshop started with some food for us, followed by an educational talk by Astalift's beauty trainer Jason.

Demonstrations were done on several products, specially Aqualift Jelly, and the new nano product named "In-Focus".

We also got to try a Mocktail drink made with their delicious Pure Collagen drink.

Following that, the prize-catching moment where we had to grab 3 ribbons of the same color, within 30 seconds. The prize would be 3 travel-size Astalift Jelly. Needless to say, I got it.

Finally, redemption of the Goody-bag comprising Astalift Hand Cream,  a long white unbrella and some more skincare samples.

Thank you Astalift for the fabulous and enriching event; as well as Sample Store for the invite!
