Lunch at Loui's NY Pizza Parlour @ Universal Studios Singapore

During our recent to Universal Studios Singapore for "A Universal Christmas", we decided it would be cute to dine at one of those restaurants located within the New York / Hollywood districts. After exploring and photos taking between the "real" and "fake" restaurants / cafes, we went for Loui's NY Pizza Parlour.

The interior decor was casual, done in classic American restaurant decor and ordering was done over the counters. On display were 4 types of pizzas, chicken wings and desserts.

Each pizza slice was huge, thin-crust and crispy. I liked the Hawaiian Pizza and its generous servings of pineapple cubes.

Pepperoni Pizza was not bad too; crunchy beef circles with slightly spicy notes for a fiery delight to the thin-crust base.

We also enjoyed the Wings very much - juicy, tender and utterly tasty; would have been the perfect accompaniment to beers.

Overall dining experience at Loui's NY Pizza Parlour was pretty decent - reasonably priced, given that we were inside USS itself.  4 of us spent around SGD$66.00 for a slice of pizza each, wings and soft drinks.

Christmas at Universal Studios Singapore just got magical, and we were glad to have visited with the Niece and Nephew. Here's a review of our past visit, if you are keen.

From the front entrance to the shops and restaurants storefronts within, beautiful Christmas decorations adorn the windows, eliciting festive mood from passerbys. Look beyond that, a 15-metres tall Christmas Treehouse looms, spearing the blue skies with its star-stuck tip.

From time to time, Santa Claus in his sleigh and entourage of elves and reindeer cruise by in a merry parade of song and dance. Feel free to join in or take photos with them.

If one enjoys performance, there is the "Search for a Christmas Star" evening show over at the New York Library and World of Stars section, where a Flying Airy Fairy dazzles, music and dance delight, and paper confetti snow leave the children squealing in joy. Showtimes are at 7.30pm and 8.45pm.

More performances take place over at Pantages Hollywood Theater, where Sesame Street characters come alive in "Oscar's Grouchmas". Showtimes are at 1.00pm, 4.00pm, 6.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.

Finally, the highlight which is the Santa's Workshop where visitors register as "Elves" and help with hunting games and "baking", etc. A certificate is even issued for help rendered.

Need a snack? Fret not - check out Star Dots Soft-serve Yogurt Ice-cream (SGD$9.00) drizzled with chocolate syrup and comes in a pretty collectible Santa mug.

Yes, Universal Studios Singapore has been turned into a winter wonderland for the season, perfect for families, tourists and anyone looking to bask in some Christmassy spirit. Other attractions and rides to look out for, such as Transformer The Ride, Accelerator, Canopy Flyer at Lost World, Treasure Hunters Jeep Ride, and Waterworld performance etc.

Not travelling out of Singapore or not sure where to seek some thrills? Come on over for A Universal Christmas right now, for an unforgettable festive season.
