This was my third time visiting Five Marbles (past review here), having enjoyed their interesting craft beers and food items. Service was good and attentive; beer samples were readily available. Their beers on taps change frequently so patrons can look forward to new flavours each time.

I was disappointed that my favorite Grapefruit XPA was not being served, but tonight I took great pleasure in the Gosnells Citra Sea Mead brew (SGD$7.00 half pint / SGD$14.00 full pint) - honey fermented brew in lemon peel, terragon and seawater - light, refreshing and zesty.
Foodwise, the variety of items has been reduced by a fair bit, it seems.
We were the first to try their festive specials, the Christmas Beer Duck Confit (SGD$24.00) - beer marinated, tender, moistened, herbs infused and served with mashed potato and salad on the side. My personal preference for duck confit leans more toward crispier exterior but I would say that flavour for this was great.
We also had some Nachos with Cheddar (SGD$9.00) - crackling corn chips with melted cheese and jalapenos.
Lastly, addictive Salted Egg Fish Skin (SGD$9.00), exploding with scrumptious goodness in every bite.
It was a very enjoyable chilling out session once again, this time infected with merry festive vibes.
