Kim's Place Seafood is a decades-old seafood restaurant famous for their crab done various ways, and fried Hokkien Noodles. I heard many rave reviews from friends but haven't gotten the chance to try their food until recently, when my family came over to my place for dinner.

We ordered for delivery and service was good, they delivered well within time frame even though I changed the delivery time once. Best of all, they also provided rectangular cardboard pieces so we could use as place mats on the table, without dirtying the tabletops / tablecloth.

Started with Salted Egg Deep-fried Fish Skin (SGD$10.00), which were pretty palatable, richly coated with salted egg sauce.

The other appetizer was my bro's all-time favourite (my dad used to love this item too) - Crispy Fried Baby Squids (SGD$12.00), tossed in dark sauce and cooked with peppers, Chili and onion. This was incredibly flavorful and addictive. We wish it was more dry though (there was some gravy).

Then we had the signature Fried Hokkien Mee (SGD$16.00 for large), colorfully laden with ingredients - plump succulent fresh shrimps, springy squid, crispy fried pork lard cubes, eggs, leek and chilli. This was awesome as well, despite the fact that it was sent via delivery. It didn't dry up or then soggy, just plain tasty.

To balance the meal, we had greens! Loved the Stir-fried Potato Leaves with garlic and chilli. It bore that home-cooked flavour like how my Mom usually prepares this dish.

Last but not least, a poultry item recommended by the ladyboss Juliet herself - the Tea-Smoked Chicken. Meat was ultra tender and gently fragrant with hints of tea leaves.

Finally, time for desserts! The Longan Tofu was pleasantly cooling, Longan bursting with juicy sweetness and tofu cubes smooth - overall not cloying with sweetness like some restaurants do. This concluded the meal beautifully.

Overall, everyone enjoyed the meal tremendously and I cannot wait to bring my in-laws to the restaurant for a seafood feast!
