An exciting burger, wine and liquor bar that originated from Los Angeles, USA and has been endorsed by many A-list celebrities as their favourite burger bar, 25 Degrees is now in Singapore, located at Hotel G conveniently. Retaining its Hollywood-esque charm, the interior decor makes its patrons comfortable while they enjoy mouth-watering burgers.
Service crew was polite and professional but because we sat at the "hidden section" (next to connecting door to Ginnett), it took us a while to get their attention. Menu comprises some starters like soups and salads, desserts, drinks and of course, Burgers. Other than the "Craft Your Own Burger", they also have 5 types of burgers priced at SGD$14.00 each:
- Number One Burger (beef patty, caramelised onions, crescenza, prelibato gorgonzola, bacon, arugula and thousand island dressing
- Number Two Burger (beef patty, roasted tomatoes, burrata, crispy prosciutto, pesto
- Number Three Burger (beef patty, mezzo secco jack, green chili, chipotle, avocado)
- Number Four Burger (yellowfin tuna, butter lettuce, crispy fried onions, spicy aioli)
- Number Five Burger (vegetarian patty, butter lettuce, cucumber, mint, jalapeños)
I started with a glass of House Red Wine (SGD$6.00) - very affordable, and it's not Happy Hour price. The wine was very smooth and easy on the palate- this time they served Domaine Des Hautes Ouches.
The Truffle Fries (SGD$) were served in a metal mug interestingly, with delicious earthly aroma wafting. They were crispy and salty but truffle taste was not detected.
There were 5 of us so we ordered one burger each; mine was the Yellowtail Tuna Burger. The buns were soft; would have been nice with crispier edges or top. The tuna patty was tasty and flakey, which I enjoyed pretty much.
My friends who ordered burgers number One to Three commented that the beef patties were a little overcooked (they ordered medium-rare and medium doneness) - so the patties were tough and not as enjoyable.
Finally, Banana and Walnut Waffle (SGD$) - buttermilk waffles that were fluffy but would have been nicer with some crisps or more maple syrup. The banana, cream, walnut and fruit cubes (grapes & dragonfruit) were served on the side, giving them a very "disconnected" feel with the waffles.
Overall, we found 25 Degrees Burger, Wine & Liquor Bar to be pretty decent in terms of price and food; a nice place for chilling out.
