Lunch at Sushi Tei Japanese Restaurant @ Jem, Jurong
Over a span of 2 months, *Pris and I dined at Sushi Tei Japanese Restaurant twice together, somehow managing to order the same items during both visits. Anyway, we enjoy the food at Sushi Tei, and service is not too bad.
Zuwai Gani Chawanmushi (SGD$6.90) pleased the palate immensely with tasty zuwai crab sauce on smooth steam egg custard.
The Salmon Enoki Roll (SGD$8.00) was grilled to a deep golden hue and immersed with teriyaki sauce, bringing satisfaction with its bouncy texture and great taste.
Grilled Squid (SGD$9.80) aka Ikata Sugata, was dressed with teriyaki sauce (option of salt in lieu of sauce available). Smokey hints permeated into the springy and chewy squid flesh, making for another great appetiser.
Next, Soft Shell Crab (SGD$12.80) was deep-fried with a crackling exterior unveiling to a gently crunching interior; always one of my favorite dishes at all times.
Moving on to mains, she enjoyed her Chicken Katsu Don (SGD$10.90)- a neat case of crispy chicken cutlet and egg over Japanese rice.
I stuck with my Chirashi Don (SGD$10.80) made up of fresh slices of raw seafood (salmon, tuna, salmon roe, shrimps and squid) over Japanese rice.
We never failed to conclude our meals with Cheese Stick Ice-Cream (SGD$3.80) and letting the creaminess mull over the tongue slowly, melting into a luscious pool of bliss.
There you have it, my review on Sushi Tei and I will be glad to be back again.
