These days, I have been too exhausted to search for new restaurants try for each and every friends' gathering, so I decided to bring my dear girls to one of my favourite Italian restaurants, located at National Gallery - AURA Italian Restaurant, for our pre-Christmas gathering.  You may wish to check out my recent review here, for more items were tried during the last session (more headcount).

The settings were stunning in red and wood tones as usual; reflected by sharply clear mirrors and a large glass panel overlooking the outdoors. Service was attentive and polite; food was served pretty fast after we placed orders as well.

Focaccia Bread with Olive Dip was served for our starter - crunchy and chewy in texture, could be considered a little hard, but definitely fun to chew on; delicious too, dipped in their virgin olive oil.

We were also served some Truffle Mushroom Chips that were very palatable and appetite-whiting.

I started with a glass of Pinot Grigio while waiting for our food to be served.

Chilean Sea Bass (SGD$48.00) - springy and butter smooth in texture, was served with spicy broccoletti and lemon potatoes.

The Italian Sea Bass had a firmer texture to its flesh; flakey, but deliciously basked in saffron sauce; white and green asparagus were served on the side, adding touches of crunch.

My Sea Urchin Pasta (SGD$52.00) was not listed on the menu as it was considered a "Chef's Specials".  Creamy, melty sea urchin melted lusciously upon the palate like a dream; while the al-dente spaghetti was cooked in sea urchin sauce for that decadent taste; definitely my personal favourite each time I am here.

Finally, Kalingo Chocolate and Earl Grey Dome with Raspberry Cream (SGD$18.00) - a gorgeous dessert whose name was self-explanatory. Cut open the glossy chocolate sphere for velvety spoonfuls of chocolate mousse cake infused with aroma of Earl Grey.

The happy meal was over far too soon, but we did enjoy the dinner here very much. Three of us spent a total of SGD$218.00 in total, every penny worthwhile for a sumptuous meal here in this beautiful Italian restaurant.  We look forward to visiting their Sky Lounge sometime soon.
