[Invited Tasting] Buffet Dinner at Element Restaurant @ Amara Hotel

165 Tanjong Pagar, Level 1, Singapore 088539
Tel: 6879 2607
Price: SGD$65.00 (lunch / dinner)

Element Restaurant at Amara Hotel houses an international buffet concept inside and Spanish bar concept on the outside (Element on the Street); an multicultural dining paradise to satiate cravings of all nature.

Decor of the restaurant is sleek sophistication with lots of mirrors adding depth to rooms. Service was not only impeccable but caring as well, with crew paying attention to even the slightest details so that diners were well taken care of.

Cuisine is largely international and multinational. One of the talented culinary crew is Samuel Quan - the youngest in the Singapore National Culinary Team that won 2   gold medals during Culinary Olympics (yes, there is such a thing).

The first station when one enters the front, is the Japanese live station where a chef slices fresh Sashimi for us. There is also an assortment of Sushi for the taking.

Following that, a station with Chicken with Black Fungus dish and very silky Tofu with seafood; making for great starters as well.

Next station was made up of Live Seafood such as Boston Lobster, Alaskan King Crab, Spanner Crab, Cooked Mussels, White Clams, and Fresh Oysters. Needless to say, this was one of our most favorite stations.

The counter after that offered Fruits and Desserts; I delighted in the 5 types of Cheeses, Chocolate Banana Cake, Peach Crumble, rich mini Chocolate Tarts and aromatic Cempedek Creme Brulee. The latter is one of their unique signatures.

Moving on, a Roast Station adjourned to the Ramen counter, the latter serving up springy Ramen noodles in flavorful broth.

Pineapple Rice was very tasty and generous in ingredients; whereas the Lotus Root Soup was palatable- exactly like how a good traditional Cantonese styled soup should be.

Finally, the area lined with what's mainly local European fusion fare such as Dimsum, Truffle Mashed Potato, Chicken Coq au Vin and Crayfish in Chilli Crab Sauce. I enjoyed the latter 2 dishes as well.

If you are early, drop by for Happy Hours Drinks before your hunger pangs kick in. Selected Spirits, Housepour Wines and Beers are priced at a mere SGD$10.00 till 8.00pm so yes, work up a thirst before your feast.

Thank you Lindy and Jesslyn of Amara Hotel for hosting us; and Ivanteh for the invite.  We definitely enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would return for more delicacies!
