Having enjoyed my tea session at The Providore Cafe at Mandarin Gallery (review here), I was psyched naturally, when an outlet opened up at Raffles Place. So what's a girl to do but visit?
I liked the glasshouse concept immensely, the entire cafe was built of dark glass and the interior was pretty with a lot of wooden tables and vases of colorful flowers. I thought the music was a little too loud though, for conversations or work discussions.
The Grilled Ham and Cheese Toastie (SGD$14.50) was a large-portioned toasted sandwich with fried egg, emmental cheese, grilled zucchini, tomato and pepper relish on sourdough. Tasty and a burst of flavours, served with a side salad.
Hot Chocolate (SGD$6.50) was served first, a huge mug of prettily-decorated steaming liquid chocolate just waiting to be gushed down in luscious enjoyment.
Hot Coffee (SGD$6.00) was being described as aromatic and smooth as well. Their barista sure took efforts to to create very pretty latte art.
Pot of Earl Grey Tea (SGD$7.50) was served in uniquely beautiful mini teapot and teacup - modernistic with well-defined cuts.
Finally, my Iced Peppermint Mocha (SGD$7.90) which was fabulously delicious and distinctive with the soothing pierce of peppermint, breaking through chocolatey aroma of the chilled coffee.
I might've just made this my favorite hangout in Raffles Place, save for the fact that the music is too loud for conversations or discussions (yes, I repeat).
