Fears keep Morpheus' embrace at bay,
As I lay awake in the nights;
Sleepless, afraid to go to bed,
Yearning the adventure of dreams
But dreading the rays of daylight.
I wish for the night to last,
A dark blanket keeping me warm,
Undermining the ticking hands of clock;
My body is tired, fatigue coated,
But I am scared to fall asleep.
