You lent me your name,
And I took it,
Pretending to be someone
I know not.
You lent me a peace of mind,
When oceans were rough,
It was kind
Of you, when times were tough.
You lent me warmth,
When darkness was cold;
When the wrath,
Never seemed to get old.
Now you take it all away,
Shifted the earth from beneath me;
Leaving me no tears to cry,
As I watch your back fade.
