I was honoured to be invited for this cosy media and blogger session at Wihardja Furnishing, held at their Kaki Bukit showroom.  Glad to see quite a few familiar faces as well, and a large array of exotic and interesting Indonesian-style furniture.as well as home accessories.  Guests were given a small welcome giftpack containing membership card, gift certificate, the owners' namecards as well as instructions on how to participate in the ongoing Instagram contest.

No wonder we were advised to have dinner first, because there were so much to explore thereafter. So we tucked into a delicious Indonesian buffet of jackfruit curry, beef rendang, etc. We got to dine on the comfortable furniture on display around the showroom - how neat was that!

The founder Ronny gave an introduction to Wihardja Furnishing, from the history to woodcare details. The business has started out as a resort furniture concept, slowly changing to home furniture and accessories. He also entailed his experience working with the Indonesian and shared a little on the factory over there. Teakwood and its benefits were emphasized.

Then we started exploring the showroom in search of our favorite pieces.  Let's start with some couches and sofa sets first - a pretty wide array of wooden sofa and settee pieces matched with different cushions anc accessories.  Each piece was beautiful and comfortable.

There was a good selection of tables and chairs as well, such as the Coca-Cola table set and swinging chairs etc. The swinging chairs were my favoritest of all - so comfortable and carefree.

They had beds and dressers as well, interesting adorned with a bicycle hung on the walls. A couple of dressers with mirrors and standalone mirrors filled different corners of the showroom too. I just love those wood-framed mirrors.

Besides teakwood, the handmade furniture here also make use of other precious wood such as suar wood. One may find customised furniture here made to suit your individual style and preference - giving the home a soothing touch of nature as well as comfortable furniture scoring points on the aesthetics front as well.

Accessories were aplenty - from smaller items such as incense burners, paintings, tiny pots of lavender flowers and stuffed toys to larger items such as ornamental chest of drawers, lamps, etc. Even luggages formed part of the showroom goods. Everything here is priced very reasonably.

This is a beautiful place to shop for the home, to transform the home into a cosy and exquisite sanctuary filled with tasteful furniture, that brings about immense comfort and makes one feel like they are on vacation everyday.  Drop by one of their showrooms today and give your new / existing home a new look!

Thank you Wihardja Furnishing and Originally US for the invite and enriching session!
