Taken with Engel and Lynn

I was honoured to be invited for an event at Soteria Face and Nails salon by the beautiful lady boss, Engel.  The event comprised a hair or manicure or facial treatment session, as well as high tea and the opportunity to mingle with other beauty bloggers.

This award-winning nail and facial spa establishment has been around for around 4 years, providing a full range of services inclusive of facial, waxing services, manicure and pedicure etc.  Their hair outlet is just 2 units away, in the same block.  Soteria does a lot of events, including promotional events as well as charity events, showing their care for the less fortunate as well.

The exquisite Victorian design of the interior was soothing, beautiful and cozy all at once, making it a good ambience for the ladies to get themselves pampered.  I loved the chandeliers and posh settings immediately. Everyone here was very hospitable and friendly here as well, providing excellent service to the guests and customers.

The event commenced at 4.00pm and was scheduled to end by 9.00pm. The turnout wasn't bad - I met some familiar faces, and made new friends amongst the attendees.

There were really pretty pastries - cupcakes and macaroons by Stay at Home Mum (SHM) Cafe - very lovely creations that tasted great in texture and flavour without being too sweet. There were also pink jellybeans, marshmallows as well as chocolates, which we helped ourselves to before the pampering sessions kicked in.

I also spotted the trophies for the awards Soteria Nails has won recently-  congratulations!

There was also a booth by the side where we could design and create our own candles with seashells, etc! It was the first time I saw people "cooking" the wax and making candles.  It was a fun experience; the candle looks almost too pretty to be lit.

Time for my nails pampering session now. Even their array of nail colors selection was contained in a sweet, Victorian-styled box.   I wanted the National Day design, because I saw another lady here sporting it, so we started on the process of removing my gold gel nail polish and then painting on a new coat of gelish designs.

After around 1.5 hours, with the patient manicurist trying to still me (I was chatting with Kaiting next to me, so wasn't exactly sitting stationary) to paint on the designs, I emerged with a gorgeous set of red-and-white Singapore National Day themed nails. See the flag, the stars and the moon?

Though, I prefer the other set that I saw on the other lady - with more stars instead of stripes and polka dots. Nonetheless, it was still great efforts, and the nails are meticulously done up - so now I sport great National Days nails, ready to head out and celebrate during this Golden Jubilee weekend.

Then, I headed for the RF (radio frequency) facial treatment, which aims to stimulate collagen production resulting in better skin. Read about it in Part Two of this entry (coming up soon).

As though the lovely high tea, lavish nails pampering services and facial wasn't enough, there was a doorgift for each of us before we left - a set of travel-size Babor skincare products! Engel was really spoiling us rotten.

Thank you, Soteria Face & Nails for the wonderful reception and beautiful nails, as well as gifts! Thank you Engel, for the invite too!

Stay tuned for the RF Facial Treatment entry!
