Located at 2 Stamford Road, level 71, Swissotel the Stamford, Singapore 178882, this bar, voted Top 50 in the world, certainly affords a great panoramic view of the cityline from its height. Call them now at 6338 8585 for reservations.
It was dim when we entered, of course - like most bars. Music was pulsating through the air, and the very polite and amicable wait staff showed us to a booth. Lovely chandelier lights beautified the lounge, and happy patrons were either dancing at one corner (the dance floor appears rather small / restricted?) or chatting each other up at the bar counter.
We ordered drinks and they were being served along with a large platter of chips. Between sipping drinks, chilling out, hitting the dance floor and laughing, we also managed to check out the views by the full ceiling-to-grounds glass partitions separating the patrons from the magnificent views below.
The ambience was sleek and posh, and definitely a notch above most bars, as were the price list for drinks. As such, service was rather impeccable, and everyone was friendly, no rowdy drunken crowds - at least none during the night we were there.
We spent about SGD$30.00 per person as it was a weekday night and it wasn't hardcore, drinks-filled partying.
I would definitely come back here again, for the enchanting views, sensual musical beats and lovely atmosphere.
