Lunch at Jerry's BBQ and Grill Restaurant @ Club Street

92 Club Street, Singapore 069460
Tel: 6323 4550

Jerry's BBQ and Grill Restaurant is a traditional American restaurant serving up authentic, all-American dishes and has been around for about 20 years. They also have another outlet at 277 Jalan Kayu.

As American restaurants go, Jerry's has a very friendly and cosy ambience; the décor is resplendent in lots of red and blue, and there are lots of posters on the walls and cushy seats  They also have upstairs seating if one prefers, or if the lower level is crowded.

Menu comprises hugely of hearty American fare of course, ranging from salads to sandwichess to burgers to grilled items to steaks to fusion lunch bowls etc, so there is something for everyone.  We came here for lunch, so they had special lunch menus, including options for value-for-money set lunches.

All the set lunches include a Main Course, a Soup of the Day and Coffee / Tea or Ice-cream. It is really very attractive choice, and their Minestrone Soup was delicious - lightly sour but not too much; right amount of thickness. The selection of mains include fajitas to lasagna to dory fish and spaghetti etc.

The Quesadilla with Chicken (SGD$21.95 for set) - flour tortilla filled with a savoury mixture of cheese and vegetables, folded into a half-moon shape and cut to wedges for easy eating. 3 types of dips are served with the quesadilla - cream, salsa and guacamole. There is a choice of pulled pork or vegetarian for the fillings, if one does not fancy chicken.

Fusion Bowls are interesting and delectable in selection as well, like a balanced meal tossed together - there are choices of seafood, salmon, oxtail or buffalo wings etc. The Oxtail Bowl (SGD$21.00) comes with Jerry's already very popular oxtail stew served with Japanese rice and an assortment of vegtables such as cucumber, edamame beans, bell peppers etc.

The Grilled Prawn Bowl (SGD$20.00) is made up of 3 large prawns, grilled and shelled-off, served with the chef's Thai chilli sauce.  Instead of rice, my colleague opted for vegetables only, so it was akin to eating a fusionized salad bowl, healthy and delicious.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here at Jerry's very much, and look forward to returning for more of their hearty, sumptuous food paired with excellent service. We might even have a beer or wine the next time, who knows!
