It was love at first sight when I set eyes on Bio-Essence 24K Bio-Gold Rose Gold Water, an utterly stunning rose water essence with tiny gold flakes filling up the entire bottle like stars in sunset skies.

When I opened the lid, the aromatic rose scent flirted with my nostrils and I could not help taking in a few more sniffs. The scent was so lovely, it made me excited to want to use it quickly.

I poured some onto my palm and was amazed to see tiny gold flakes falling onto my palm. I patted the lovely lightweight essence onto my face, letting the quality ingredients work their miracles.

The Japanese rose extract, Eijitsu, hydrates skin and keeps it moisturised. 24K bio-gold provides skin with protection against free radicals.

All in all, this beautiful product helps skin to tighten pores, moisturize, smoothening and delay signs of aging. Yes, my skin feels simple and hydrated throughout the day, so I highly recommend this skincare regime.

Modern Beauty Salon (现代美容中心) has been around for 27 years and have multiple outlets across Hong Kong and Singapore, providing a wide range of beauty services using quality products. The range of beauty services include facial treatments, medical facials, slimming, massages and spas. They also sell a range of salon-grade beauty products under Ferracare, BeYu, Biotin, Fanola etc.

I was honoured to be invited for a session of their Detox V-lifting Golden Caviar Treatment at the Orchard outlet - a lavishly-decorated salon complete with bright chandelier lights and lots of glass panels. The treatment rooms were comfortable, and therapists experienced, soft-spoken and thoughtful. My only little complaints were that the treatment rooms were a little warm, and there was no music so the silence during treatment could be a little awkward.

They serve 3 kinds of teas before and after the treatments, while we sit in the consultation room - I tried the Goji (Wolfberry) Tea and Ginger Tea, both soothing and delicious. Needless to say, these beautifully-colored teas complement the beauty treatments as well.

After tucking me into the soft blankets comfortably, my therapist removed my makeup and did a round of cleansing, using the special range of Pen's Golden Caviar products. Then there was a round of steaming for my face while she massaged my shoulders, back and arms. Extraction of whiteheads and blackheads was performed on my pores afterwards.

Next, a clear Caviar Collagen and Royal Jelly Honey gel was applied to my face - very cooling sensation, while she showed me a three-forked metallic device, to be used on my face, to perform whats known as the Meridien (Jin Luo) Massage. It could get a little uncomfortable at the neck areas, especially when the lymph nodes are more clogged (something like that, according to her explanation).

Following that, another aqua-colored Facial Mask was applied to my face, this time I was asked to rest for around 20 minutes while the mask set in. The final step was removal of the mask and applying of toner and moisturiser for me.

The entire treatment was very comfortable, and my skin felt supple and hydrated, enriched but not greasy. My face also seemed to slim down immediately, with all that massage and quality gold caviar products. If you are interested to take up their facial packages, they have a really interesting arrangement where you can choose a different treatment each session, not tied to just one type of facial; their pricing is also very reasonable.

Love, love ClearSK Aesthetics and was thrilled to be back for their Hydra-Bright Skin Booster Facial (worth SGD$130.00). Previous I'd done E-Matrix Laser (review here) and Accent V Facial Treatment (review here) with them before, so I know their high standard of cleanliness, service and quality treatment devices / products.

This time round, I was to enjoy a very delicious and beneficial skin booster facial that last for around 45 minutes in all, administered by a therapist.

My therapist started with a round of cleansing for my skin before proceeding. You would notice that my eye liner and lipstick were still intact- that was only because I'd asked her not to remove them as I didn't bring any makeup out to retouch.

Then it was a treatment using a device that would remove dead skin cells from my face. A fine layer of cold gel was applied to my face prior, and the metal blade of this device brought about cooling touches to my skin; the most comfortable form of dead skin cells removal I'd experienced so far.

Next, Vitamin C gel was spread over my face. My therapist passed me a device to hold, asking me to relax. She said that the next step was done using currents; the end I was holding was positive and the end she was using was negative. They were supposed to work with each other infusing the Vitamin C deeply into my skin. Very minimal vibrating sensations might be detected, but so subtle, they might've even been imagined.

Following that, another device was used to boost Aloe Vera gel into my skin. This was such a soothing and pleasant feeling; I could feel my skin soaking in the goodness eagerly.

Finally, a Tea Tree Mask was applied to fortify and prevent breakouts on my skin. The latter also had a tranquilizing scent; I think I drifted off to a light sleep during the 15-minute mask-on session.

After applying some toner on my face, I was informed that I could go out already. I checked my reflection in the mirror and noted with glee the glow, clarity and boink-boink bounciness of my skin. Yes, I could indeed go out now with bare skin- no foundation, powder nor blusher, yet I'd never felt more confident.

Bella Marie France celebrates 36th anniversary at its new outlet at Orchard Gateway @ Emerald. I was honoured to be invited to join in the fun and celebratory activities by the personable team here at Bella Marie France.

A pretty Photo Booth was available for us to look glamorous with props while taking photos. There were also prizes to be won if we posted the photos with hashtag #BellaMarieFrance.

Lunch was served; a pretty delectable buffet with Sauteed Prawns, Fish, Butter Rice, Waldorf Salad and Pineapple Pudding, etc.

Following that, I enjoyed a 30-minute Back and Shoulder Massage on a special chair where I sat and positioned myself according to its unique structure. I felt rejuvenated after the massage.

There was also a Coffee Art and Appreciation by One Man Coffee and their talented barista Alistair Seetoh. It was entertaining to watch him creating various images with milk foam on aromatic coffee. We got to enjoy the delicious coffee too.

Last but not least, Makeup Secrets demonstration by Marc Teng, teaching us the art of contouring. It was enriching and educational - thank you for the tips.

Finally, a short sharing session about their newly launched services and products, as well as anniversary promotions. At the end of the event, I walked away with a Goody Bag filled with BMF products such as ampoule, mask sheet, sunblock and a healthy recipe book, etc.

ClearSK celebrated its 10th anniversary over the weekend, celebrated its many milestones and I was honoured to be one of the attendees.

To share a little on them, ClearSK Aesthetics is founded by Dr. Shiau Ee Leng and it's first humbling beginning was a cosy outlet located at Toa Payoh. That was year 2008, but the beauty parlour put up a tough fight against recession, and today it boosts of multiple outlets in Singapore and overseas. Now they also provide more services, targeting skin, slimming and hair. Congratulations Dr. Shiau and team!

Various stations were set up around the area where one could get their Skin Analysis done, or enjoy trial Lifting treatments, or check out the SkinCeuticals products on sale. Their beauty therapists were there to give advice on treatments available to suit each individual's unique needs.

Brand ambassadors include the gorgeous artiste Jeanette Aw and violinist Yap Shu Mei. The latter also treated us to a fabulous performance of her talent.

Besides reviews of facial treatments by the ambassadors and a panel discussion between the 3 power women, the celebration commenced with cake-cutting and champagne toasts.

Buffet dinner of Thai cuisine (about 10 dishes at least) and Rosa Wine (or Champagne, if you prefer), as well as slices of cake were served.

I was y to you psyched to take a couple of pictures with Jeanette right here against the darkening skyline. Happy birthday in advance babe!

Oh and did I mention the gorgeous Goody-bag duffel-style, containing facial treatment vouchers, products vouchers and of course, SkinCeuticals samples? I can't wait to try everything in there.

Lucky draw with attractive prizes concluded the 4-hour event. All in all, it was an enriching, fun-filled and beautiful event where I made new friends too. Congratulations again ClearSK Aesthetics - may you have many more years and breakthroughs to come!
