Ease Beauty Spa is a one-stop ladies' only beauty spa, conveniently located at Jurong East within the banking district. The founders are 2 young and beautiful Singaporean ladies with many years of experience in the beauty sector. Ease Beauty Spa provides many services including facials, massage, manicure, pedicure, eyelash extensions, eyebrow embroidery etc - basically most of the beauty treatments that we females enjoy so much.

I tried out several services at their parlour, since it is a one-stop service. The first was the Tummy Slimming Massage (SGD$68.00), an intensive massage targeted at the reducing tummy fats by way of methodical series of kneading, etc. Pure Ginger Oil is rubbed on the abdomen area before the massage commenced, evoking a lovely warmth that makes me confident that my fats were being burned up surely. I also would like to comment that I was surprised at the vast spaciousness of their Treatment Room.

Next service I tried was the Eye Lash Extensions (SGD$60.00 onwards). I have seen many friends doing eye lash extensions, and the elongated lashes looked so beautiful. But I have also witnessed some of them in pain during their extension treatment sometime ago (elsewhere), so I have never thought of trying it until now. Zeris is a good persuader. :)

The Eye Lash Extension session took around 1.5 hours, a meticulous lash-by-lash attachment that emitted zero discomfort at all. I must have fallen asleep during the session itself, because when I was woken up, I noticed long, fluttery lashes that did not feel heavy at all; in fact, they did not feel any different. Yet whenever I look into the mirrors I could not help smiling because these beautiful lashes made my eyes look larger, and I saved so much time now that I do not see the need to use eyeliners and eye-shadow.

Finally, I also did Gel Manicure and Gel Pedicure with them. They use really comfortable massage chairs here so we could enjoy a lovely back massage while getting our nails treated. For my toenails, I chose a simple silver color.

For my fingernails, I tried the currently trendy Cat's Eyes Gel Manicure, where the colors look dark like reflections from different angles. The special design (and claimed to be the only nail salon offering this design) is the floral design that looked really good and feminine.

Updates: went back for another round of Gel Manicure in these pretty princessy hues.

Overall, I enjoyed the beauty treatments here and the warm hospitality of Zeris and crew. I will be back to do an 6D Eyebrows aka "Misty" under Ease Beauty Spa again soon.

Bella Marie France celebrates 36th anniversary at its new outlet at Orchard Gateway @ Emerald. I was honoured to be invited to join in the fun and celebratory activities by the personable team here at Bella Marie France.

A pretty Photo Booth was available for us to look glamorous with props while taking photos. There were also prizes to be won if we posted the photos with hashtag #BellaMarieFrance.

Lunch was served; a pretty delectable buffet with Sauteed Prawns, Fish, Butter Rice, Waldorf Salad and Pineapple Pudding, etc.

Following that, I enjoyed a 30-minute Back and Shoulder Massage on a special chair where I sat and positioned myself according to its unique structure. I felt rejuvenated after the massage.

There was also a Coffee Art and Appreciation by One Man Coffee and their talented barista Alistair Seetoh. It was entertaining to watch him creating various images with milk foam on aromatic coffee. We got to enjoy the delicious coffee too.

Last but not least, Makeup Secrets demonstration by Marc Teng, teaching us the art of contouring. It was enriching and educational - thank you for the tips.

Finally, a short sharing session about their newly launched services and products, as well as anniversary promotions. At the end of the event, I walked away with a Goody Bag filled with BMF products such as ampoule, mask sheet, sunblock and a healthy recipe book, etc.

I was honoured to be invited for a Gua Sha Detox Therapy session (worth SGD$188.00) at their Plaza Singapura outlet, using the technique of TCM circulatory treatment to drain fats and tighten contours by addressing the stagnant energy ("qi") in the body. This was a totally holistic treatment without machines or devices; merely Gua Sha skills and pure Essential Oils.

When I reached Body Perfect, the consultant went through a health and lifestyle questionnaire with me to understand my needs better; I also filled out a personal particulars form. Then I was brought to the treatment room - which, like the rest of the salon, was simply furnished and modest in size. I changed into the disposable undergarment provided and waited for the therapist to attend to me.

The trained therapist began the process of scraping my skin with varying strokes, targeting the tummy and thigh areas (my main concerns) - this would help stimulate accupoint microcirculation of the soft tissue, which in turn improves blood circulation. The process could be described as mildly uncomfortable to a little painful - depending on your pain threshold. The detoxifying process lasted around 30- 40 minutes.

I was warned that there could be a fair bit of flatulence (i.e. "farting", or emission of air through the anus) due to the Gua Sha stimulation around my abdomen area. She also explained that for greater efficiency, holistic treatments are usually combined with machine technology here to complement each other and produce faster results. My tummy, which was hard to the touch, felt soft after the treatment - the therapist explained that when fats are softened, they are easier to break down and be flushed out, aiding in weight loss.

Overall, I enjoyed the Gua Sha slimming session here, and felt more body confident as I squeezed into my new clothes. Thank you Body Perfect for the sponsored session.

Aimin Acupuncture and Weight Loss Centre is a dedicated traditional Chinese Medicine wellness centre with over 20 years history, providing healthy solutions to help clients maintain / regain their health.

I was honoured to be invited for a session of their signature Acupuncture Slimming Treatment (worth SGD$209.80). They also have another outlet in Joo Chiat area, but the Somerset outlet was more convenient for me.

When I first arrived, a couple of consultants attended to me with hot tea and forms to fill. After that, a lady in white coat took my measurements on a machine and generated a report with details on my weight, muscle mass, BMI, visceral fats etc. She also went through a short interview on my lifestyle and ideal weight.

I was then led to the treatment room for the first part of this session- a 20 minute Aroma Oil Slimming Massage on my abdomen area (having established that this was my most concerned area). The stomach rubs and kneads were intense, and sone aromatic oil was used in the process. Pain was slight, and strangely satisfying.

Next, therapist Ms Luo Hong came to administer the next part of the treatment - 30 minutes Acupuncture Slimming Session. Everyone assured me that this part of the treatment was absolutely painless, numbing and all, which was why I was not prepared for the initial sharp pain the moment the needles pierced into my skin (abdonen and thigh areas).

Rest assured however that the pain was mininal and rapid, like an ant's bite; and over before I could even react. True enough I felt nothing thereafter. A machine was set up over the needled areas and provided heat to stimulate the process I reckon.

The session ended around 30 minutes; all these while I was also given a handheld bell to press in the event I felt uncomfortable and needed help. The odd thing was after Physician Luo removed the needles from my body, she just smiled and exited the room, without informing me that I should get dressed or wait for someone to come in to attend to me. So I sat and waited for a while before deciding that I should get dressed and head out back to the consultation area.

All in all it was a pleasant session, my very firsy experience with TCM slimming and acupuncture. Ms Luo Hong herself has been in practice for more than a decade so I knew I was in good hands. Better yet, my abdomen area felt firmer already.

I am sure that many of you have heard of Marie France Bodyline and remember the famous advertisement starring the curvy Christy Chung. Lately, they have merged with sister company Bella Skincare to become Bella Marie France (BMF), unifying two good brands into one to offer one-stop beauty solutions centre for clients, using latest technology.

I was honoured to be invited to try a session of Power Body Sculpt treatment (worth SGD$260.00). I also added on a session of Intellect Spot Slimming session for maximal results. The sessions were 45 minutes and 35 minutes respectively.

Bella Marie France at Orchard Gateway @ Emerald is newly furnished (used to be located at International Building), and looks very elegant and beautiful.

The receptionists and consultants were decked prettily in black or cream dress uniforms as well, greeting clients warmly. I enjoyed a cup of Rosalle Tea before being ushered into the consultation room for the standard interview.

To kickstart, my height and weight measurements were taken. Then I was further scanned in a room by standing onto this circular platform with my arms outstretched at 45 degrees. The platform twirled me around as the info was generated onto the computer screen.

My targeted problem areas for this session are tummy and love handle (the latter suggested by therapist Maggie).

I changed into comfortable waffle robe and sat in the gorgeous lounge to wait for therapists over more Rosalle Tea.

Then I was led to the treatment room to be attended to by the experienced therapists. The first one did the Power Body Sculpt for me, a series of hard-and-gentle massage involving use of pink silicon glove and blend of algae and essential oils. The massage stimulates body's metabolism giving it a healthy glow, enhances circulation of skin tissues and tightens skin in turn.

The above session was soothing and warm; my arms were also taken care through cleansing, smoothing wax and homemade body lotion.

Another therapist came in for my Intellect Spot Slimming treatment. She started by dubbing my lower back area (targeting love handles) with cold gel, followed by rolling a small ultrasound mobile device across my body; this was cooling and I didn't feel any pain or itch at all.

Next, an Anti-Cellulite Deep Tissue Detox Massage and a green detox mask was spread across my abdomen area for about 10 minutes. The soft mask was peeled off easily without any mess.

Finally, a cold Body Wrap (yes you heard it correctly - cold) sheeting itself around my abdomen area for about 20 minutes - stimulating weight loss by manipulating the body's natural heat energy  for optimal slimming and contouring effects.

Overall I really enjoyed my slimming treatment here at BMF, because of 3 reasons namely:-
1) gorgeous and soothing facilities
2) soft-speaking consultants who do not hard sell
3) and best of all, decades-experienced and knowledgeable therapists who know exactly what they are doing.

I guess too, that in this high-turnover beauty industry if staff can be retained for a decade, even 2, it speaks volumes about this company as a whole. I am happy to have experienced the professional service here at Bella Marie France. Thank you!

Detox Slimming Session at BottomSlim @ Novena Square [Sponsored]

I was invited for a Detox Slimming session with BottomSlim. They specialize in body slimming solutions for lower body namely tummy, hips and thighs - by using a combination of non-invasive and organic treatments to break stubborn fats down. They also focus on inches loss rather than weight loss alone.

The brand and signboard are done in gold and bronze tones (meant to look classy I suppose?) But it also made the store very hard to find. The interior has just been renovated as well to sport vintage yellow and brown tones; somewhat vintage looking.

The usual protocol of tea serving and form filling ensued, while consultant and therapist sat with me in the room to discuss my issues, took my measurements and proposed solutions. My issue was mainly tummy fats.

Then I was led to the treatment room to get changed into their black robe. Another round of measurements was done by my therapist before she took the tube of Nano Firming Gel from my goodie bag to use on me.

She preempt me beforehand that this first step (BottomTrim Therapy) would be a little painful, and boy it was painful as she rubbed the gel firmly onto my tummy and began the massage. She kneaded from outer area towards the center of the tummy with intensive force, explaining that this was to break stubborn fats down.


After one round, she took a second set of photos of my tummy to show the noticeable curve. This was followed by another round of massage with the Nano Firming Gel and photos to exhibit more prominent outline now.

Afterward, a machine was pushed in for step 2 - the Lipo Lazer Fat Loss therapy. Pads were connected to the machine and strapped to my tummy and thigh areas. This revolutionary therapy makes use of infrared light to help the body detox, thus achieving healthier body and skin. This machine was painless and I got to rest for 20 minutes. The machine analysed and showed clearly where the stubborn fats lie.

Final round of measurements and photos were taken; and I was impressed at the 5cm loss in onr session alone.

I also received a Goodie Bag comprising Nano Firming Gel (whats left of it after the treatment) and cash vouchers for future treatments.
