After my Gel Manicure at Yoga Beauty Palace (review here), I was delighted to be back to try their facial series. This particular treatment I tried was the Micro Bubble Cleansing Facial (SGD$158.00), a Korean beauty technology.

Through the use of micro-bubbles, this machine dissolves impurities and oil clogging up the pores, injecting hydration at the same time thereby cleaning away dead skin cells without irritating sensitive skin or stripping away skin's nutrients. It's a highly effective facial hydrotherapy that deep-cleanses in a most soothing manner.

Cleansing of makeup was first performed on my face before a Mask to prepare the skin for the treatment. The Mask sought to open up the pores and detox, as jets of steam complemented the process.

The Micro Bubble cleansing device was used next, the mouth of the device effecting small "suction" movements around my face. With each pull from the "mouth", tugging my pores to cleanse them, my skin was immediately soothed by the tiny sprays of water. Yoga, the lady-boss of Yoga Beauty Palace, showed me the water after treatment - filled with dusty white particles that were dirt clogging up my pores.

Another Mask was then spread over my face; this one denser and richer, made with an expensive capsule-type mask (think, your pills). The blue capsules are for hydration while the red capsules are for rejuvenation. Yoga spread the viscous mixture over my face with a brush; it felt really cool and comfortable. Another device from the same machine was used on my skin now, kind of like pressing the capsule Mask deeper into my skin for better absorption.

Following that, Facial Massage using carefully-choreographed TCM techniques was performed on my face - lots of lifting moves and concentration on the under-eyes and cheek areas. Yoga explained these moves would counter the pull of gravity (resulting in sagging skin) - her techniques helped in lifting and contouring of the skin.

Finally, a final Hydrating Sheet Mask was used on my face, concluding the treatment. When the mask was taken off after 15 minutes, I was surprised to see that my skin had become fairer and very radiant, exuding a kind of glow that I never imagined possible. I had a meeting after the facial treatment and Yoga offered to do makeup for me  but I rejected, because my skin looked so clear and radiant; I couldn't bear to pile makeup on top of it.  I was confident enough to meet my clients bare-faced after the treatment.

I was honoured to be invited for a Facial Laser Toning Session with Only Aesthetics. They are a medical group with good range of services, from facial services to IPL to slimming, etc.

Currently with 7 outlets in Singapore - Holland Village, Wheelock Place, Pacific Plaza, Dhoby Ghaut, Raffles Place, Capitol Piazza and Katong Village - their outlets are sparkling clean and glistening white, with touches of colours here and there, in the form of lights and furniture. Service of the staff is professional every step of the way, except towards the end when the consulting doctor herself tried to hard-sell.

Anyway, upon arrival, I was seated and then sheafs of health questionnaires, particulars form as well as PDPA form, and terms and conditions were all handed to me.

I was led to the Treatment Room to have my makeup removed. Thereafter, the assigned Doctor came to chat with me about my skin concerns, as well as examine my skin type.  She said that the Laser was more suitable for treating pigmentation issues, but I had no pigmentation. As such, Chemical Peel (usual price SGD$388.00) was recommended instead, to target my pores concerns.

The Therapist came in then, and tried to chat me up with the starting line , "Your skin is dry hor?" in Mandarin. I grumbled a reply while she spritzed moisturizer over my face (yes, spray form!). Then she slathered a cold gel / cream over my face - that is actually the Chemical Peel itself!

Then my eyes were strapped tightly shut and a "shell" was lowered over my face / head. There were slow-flickering light flashes and this went on for around 15 minutes. Therapist came in to remove the "LED Miracle Mask" (that's its name), and applied moisturizer over my face.

There was no pain, no harsh contact with the face, no flakiness at all! Yet this new technology is able to help achieve smoother skin, peeling away old skin cell layers to reveal newer ones within, smoothing the skin, ridding pigmentation and evens out skin tone. They used to say "no pain, no gain" - but this Chemical Peel Treatment challenges that notion.

Adding on to the entertainment industry is a new concept that is taking place, to be officially launched next month (January 2016). These days, with so many new movies coming to the screens of major theatres, the lifespan of each movie is pretty short. Within a month, the movie would've been taken off the big screens to make room for the next blockbuster or holiday flick.

At Muvee Space, you can catch movies you have missed, or older favorites, in the privacy of your own little theatre, with friends or loved ones. Yes, this is a popular concept overseas currently, and it is being adopted in Singapore so that you can spend quality time with friends and family without worrying about movie-goers who munch on food loudly, talk or use their phones in the cinemas.

The booking process is very simple, just complete the following steps:-

Go to the website to check out what are the movies available for screening and booking.  Note that these are not the latest movies because only Golden Village, Shaw, Cathay and Filmgarde theaters have the rights to the latest and newest movies.

Click on the "Book Online" tab to select the time slot we would like for our chillout / event session. There's different time slots available - 2 hour slot, 3 hour slot and full day slot to choose from.

Next, select the date, day and time of choice. When we click on it and see green, it means this time slot is available for booking. The gray areas mean that the slots have been blocked / booked, so we might have to change the day / time.

Following that, we fill in our particulars such as name, email address, telephone number and the movie title. If there are any special requests or queries, we are also able to key into the remarks box for them to process / address.

Finally, we need to confirm the booking. For now, payment is made in cash on the spot, when we arrive for our movies. I hope that when they launch officially, they are able to accept payment via credit card, eNets or Paypal at least.

Anyway, we arrived at the designated area for our experience of this concept.  Each room is furnished rather spaciously, think of it as your KTV room. You have it all to yourself. We reached at 7.00pm.  The seats are huge, cushy and comfortable; each room should be able to seat 4-5 persons. Small tables are positioned in front of the seats for our food or drinks. Like the exact seats in certain theaters, feel free to lean back and lie low while watching the movies in utter comfort.

We chose to catch "The Interview", a political comedy. It was a very humorous film with depth, and the sound system was very good - clear, distinctive and lucid; it made the movie come alive, and the surroundings seemed to belong to us.

Simple food items would be served - a mixed bowl of popcorn chicken, sweet potato puffs, mini dumplings, sausages and some balls. Potential was rather substantial and standard movie bites. Importantly, they were served hot. Drinks consisted of soft drinks in cans or Apple / Lychee Fizz.

We ordered extra food and drinks (nuts, popcorn, mini dumplings and popcorn chicken).since we were ravenous and we had taken the 3-hour slot. For the amount of food and drinks, we paid around SGD$33.00, standard movie snacks' fare. The menu will be revised and improvised upon during the official launch, with more variety of food items.

Service was attentive and effecient overall, and the settings were clean, well-maintained, cosy and makes for quality hanging out with family and friends. Price is reasonable as well. We cannot wait for the official launch so that we can start chilling out at Muvee Space with friends in our own enclosed space and catching flims that we can no longer catch at major theatres.   Thank you Muvee Space for the invite, and excellent experience!

I was honoured to be invited to the above event for Asus' launch of full suit of products, a once-in-a-year event.

Even though the event was held in the late morning to early afternoon, I was surprised to note that the ballrooms were crowded with attendees, made up of the media and users / owners of Asus products.

There was an introduction about the various newly-launched products, some general description and details of their functionalities. Some of the products were Asus ZenWatch 2 - working like the Apple watch, but they've also partnered with Swarovski to bring about blingtastic leather straps to make the watches a fashion accessory as well.

After the talk, we mingled around with the rest of the attendees and checked out the various booths to test out the various gadgets on display.  There was the Asus Zen AiO Pro, powered by Intel's latest quad-core Core i7 Processors and can be specced up to 32 gigabyte of DDR4 RAM.

The Asus ZenBook UX305 is a small, light and low-powered laptop with an intel core M processor for optimal performance. It comes in a sleek all-aluminium body and a thin, fanless design - very compact to bring around for work or studies.

Then the Asus ZenPad 8.0 with an innovative interchangeable design to provide unique personalisation options. Performance is dubbed to be on-par with other more expensive Android tablets, powered by a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel® Atom™ Z3580 processor and has 4 GB RAM to enable fast web surfing, smooth video playback etc.

Finally, the Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Selfie, which were introduced at the ZenFestival 2015 and in my review here.

There is buffet lunch being served but I had to rush off for another engagement. The media kit comprised of information booklets and some interesting items.
