Afternoon Tea at Free The Robot Cafe @ Telok Ayer

118 Telok Ayer Street, Singapore 068587
Tel: 6438 1836

Free The Robot Cafe is a cosy, interesting cafe located along Telok Ayer Street, with dim settings, vintage floor tiles and mirrored walls. A small outside seating is available for those who wish to chat over the music here.  One thing to note - they close by 4.00pm in the afternoon.

Anyway, I heard the coffee here is good, so decided to pop by - once with *C, and once with *N, for catching up. Feel free to peek in from the outside through a cut-out hole for "window", and catch sight of hovering model warplanes as well as mini robots within this cafe. Service crew is excellent always - friendly, even right till their closing time and beyond.

Cappuccino (SGD$5.00) was served with a light frothy layer, in a white cup with robot picture.

Mocha (SGD$6.00) was flavorful and indulgent with chocolate goodness. My Mocha was also served in a white mug adorned with red robot.

We shared an Avocado Toastie (SGD$7.00) - sandwich cut into quarters and layered with mushrooms and some mashed avocado. The toast was crispy, and the side salad was tasty with added touch of zest as well. Don't ask me what happened to the photo - I took a few shots but realized they weren't saved! (Either that, or I'd accidentally deleted them).

Overall, enjoyed the comfortable settings, personable service and good coffee here at Free The Robot. Will I drop by again? You bet.
