Dinner at Muzium Cafe @ Bugis

9 Bali Lane, Singapore 189846
Tel: 6291 1501

Scouring for the perfect spot for a late dinner on a rainy Tuesday evening along Bali Lane / Arab Street region - where half the cafes were either closed or packed, we found Muzium Cafe. It is a Mediterranean and fusion restaurant cafe under the Blu Jaz Group.

With its bright, colorful decor and bold, gilted mirrors, and a Goddess statue, we were drawn into its beautiful interiors.

Service was lukewarm but that was all right because we preferred to be left alone. The menu consisted of a good mix of Mediterranean and Western cuisine, leaving us rather spoilt for choice.

Being not hungry but utterly thirsty, I started with an Orange Mojito (SGD$14.00) - which somewhat replaces the lime with orange so it was sweeter, but the mint flavor was non-existent.

Some Cheese Sticks (SGD$10.90) for munching - deep fried battered mozzarella fingers. Enjoyed the crispy exterior giving way to piping hot, melty cheese within, slathering the palate richly.

BBQ Pork Ribs (SGD$13.90) was made up of rather succulent and juicy slab of ribs drenched in sweet BBQ sauce, served with salad and fries on the side.

Overall, food was pretty good but really, come here for the ambience. All the colors serve to cheer one up inevitably.
