Dreamed that it was sleeting,
Flecks of blazing glass coming
At me, piercing through the flesh,
Blading my heart with a slash.
You were missing in action,
Cruelly sprinting around my mind;
Robbing my thoughts of liberation,
Trapped in your lure.
I bled awake from the dream,
Stained with tears of wanting you
Close, so close,
I could count your long lashes.
You are in every building of blue,
An omen of sadness;
It's your lips I want to taste,
But your fingertips I feel slipping away.
