Mind-reading was a game cited
Too often after hours of research
And days of silent stalk-work.
You used it hoping for a chance encounter;
I used it hoping to learn more;
Though more may not the mind keep.
Was it the idea of you,
Marbled, maintained, mysterious,
That held my heart hostage?
Or was it the idea of the bond,
Keeping someone closeby, who knew him,
That drew me to you?
