The test of time,
Yes the test of time -
Willing it to pass at slower pace,
Willing the sands to be
Closed within the fists tightly,
Not slipping away ever so gently.
Time tells no lie,
Not even on a late
Weekday afternoon, watching the day
Swiftly swirling by,
Like the thoughts in my head,
And the contents in my hand.
