The wind has been relentless,
All night, like your invasion of my mind.
The blades of rain have begun slashing,
Through the cold walls of my heart.
Wondering how could it be that,
I can escape far away from you,
Yet I am seeing uncanny replicas,
Of you, every time I turn around.
And uncanny it was, from look and feel,
To the smile that I'd first noticed;
Even with the continents between us,
It feels like I'd reach out to touch you.
I am seeing your relentless likeness,
Passing me by, just like the way you did;
Turning his back, just the way you did,
Fading away, exactly the way you'd done.
