Caught between her lips,
Is the rim of wineglass,
So delicate, allowing their redness to
Smear the sides of its smooth surface.
Clenched between her teeth,
Is a pain so unbearable,
Shooting straight to the core,
But she had to bite it back.
Clasped between two fingers,
Is a lit cigarette waiting to smolder

Lifting her with the wafts of smoke.
Clad in nothing but her own skin,
She could only warm herself tonight,
With the happier memories, so sweet,
When passion between them scorched......
