So, Lunar Chinese Year came earlier this year because we had a whole boatload of goodies for sampling and now we know exactly what to buy ... from Bread Garden (Bakery).

They have a very extensive list of traditional Chinese New Year goodies, as well as some innovative ones not found anywhere else. Take the Shrimp Rolls for instance - crispy, with generous minced shrimp filling and not too spicy, so they are suitable for everyone in the family.

The Spicy Curry Rolls also crackle deliciously, and has an irresistable curry aroma to it, making it very tasty - we could not help popping roll after roll into our mouths.

Then comes a hot favorite of many people - Seaweed Crisp, coated with a thin layer of batter to give it an extra bite.

A traditional must-have would be the Premium Pineapple Tart, in lovely marble shapes with glossy sheen and filled richly with pineapple paste. The crust was soft, moistened but firm, making it easy to eat even if one popped the entire tart into the mouth.

A twist to the traditional pineapple tarts - these Premium Charcoal Pineapple Tarts are nothing short of delicious, and they melt in the mouth. They are also not too sweet, with generous fillings.

Another traditional must-have would be the Egg Rolls - here we have the normal version, and the charcoal version. Not a fan of egg rolls usually, I was swooned by this one. Brittle yet gentle, these slim egg rolls do not break into chunks and fly everywhere, like the usual egg rolls; instead, they break softly like cookies, and taste lightly of eggy aroma - not overpowering. The charcoal ones are of similar texture, with a slightly smoky hint to it, a lovely complement.

The Charcoal Almond Butter Cookies are crunchy on the outside, but it disintegrates easily in the mouth in a delicious buttery smooth heap of tasty tasty almond pulp - a must for lovers of butter cookies.

Next, the Almond Butter Cookies, of a loose texture that still retains crunch on the exterior, yet rich on the inside, another delicacy that melts readily in the mouth and fills the palate with a wonderful combination of butter and almond.

Finally, for the chocolate lovers, here are the Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. Having similar texture as the Butter Almond Cookies above, these cookies coat the palate beautifully with chocolatey goodness, satisfying not just the mouths but the souls as well.

So, as you can see, there is a wide range of different types of cookies to fit everyone - be it spicy, savoury or sweet.  For some fresh and quality Lunar New Year goodies, look for them via http://biz.xchangeinfo.com or email me at cloverleafwish@gmail.com or simply give them a tinker.

Enjoy your goodies!
